Back to where it all began.
When I bought the flight to the next place on my journey, I knew I'd want to leave from New York. Another chance to spend time with Alyssa, and save some money on flights - a win/win.
This trip felt different than the others. I explored more of New York solo, and spent more time reading, creating, and cooking. It felt more like a slice of home than a trip.
Alyssa began her journey as a photographer, which led to several middle-of-the-night photo sessions, spontaneous portraits, and a collaboration with my good friend, Daniel. Teaching others photography has always been one of my favorite things to do. Teaching someone I love so dearly, has been a gift.
I'm leaving New York with more excitement for the future than I had a few weeks ago. I know I'm going to miss girl dinners, late-night laughter, wandering art museums, and of course, Percy - but, I'm thankful to the lovely people in Yonkers for making me feel right at home.
