Colorado → Montana #arrivederci

The first stop on my journey lands us in Montana.

Montana was not originally part of my plan, but, when Alyssa said her little brother was expecting his first, and she was heading home, I offered to drive her in exchange for company on the first leg of my trip. We made a plan, and spent a few weeks in Alyssa's home town.

Before we talk about Montana, we have to honor the journey of getting there.

Alyssa and I stopped into Vail and Grand Junction, where we spent some time wandering (the cutest!) farmers market and saying goodbyes to 'old friends', preparing for the long drive ahead of us.

On the way to Montana, we made stops a quick stop in Salt Lake City (absolutely destroyed some Teriaki Madness in honor of a good friend), and spent a night in Idaho Falls with Alyssa's grandparents. Filled with emotion, laughter, the lumineers, and empty fields of nothing-ness - the long drive was made fun with good company.

Leaving Colorado felt like a milestone. We stopped to grab a photo in memory of the true first step of my journey, and headed North to find the next home.

x,

arrivederci
